Jumping right into it!
Tuesday we got housed by some religion who were going around blessing
the sick, and through the intercom they said they were from america,
and after we ofter them water and they rejected, we hear from the very
thin walls the girl saying, "They asked if we needed water," so me and
my companion open our door and there stands 5 people very shocked to
see 2 Girls also from america! One of them was from Canada, the girl
is from California and the two other guys are from Japan! They also go
around and dendo! The two from not from Japan were only 18! I mean its
like some elders, but still! They were really interested in what we
did as missionaries and asked us what we tell people when we first
talk to them, we told them it really depends on the person, sometimes
we talk about the purpose of life, or sometimes about God, or how our
families can live together forever! or sometimes we can only give them
a Eikaiwa flier! It was really cool! They also asked us what we
believed and we told them, that we believe that there is a God and we
are his Children, and that Christ is our savior! Then one of the guys
from Japan had been to our church in Utah! and it was very big and
pretty! We pulled the Salt Lake City temple from off our wall and
asked if this was it, he said yes! We told him that it was a temple!
and how they are all around the world! then showed them a picture of
the Tokyo temple! They thought it was really cool! It was so fun
talking to them and sharing our beliefs with each other, even thought
the religion is different it was neat to connect with some of the
agreement! At one point we were testifying about something, and the
girl said "Wow, even though I believe in a lot of this, I got the
chills!" It was really cool! Maybe one day they will invest in the
church!
Wednesday, we had a lesson with Jackie! She is from Peru, and is the
Cutest! She calls us her Daughters! She makes us really yummy Peruvian
foods! Whatever we tell her, she agrees with, and is way awesome! She
told us that she was going to go to Tokyo to visit her son, and that
she wanted to take her son to the church and meet the missionaries! So
we got permission to call the some of the Tokyo elders that live close
to her son and told them about it and they are going to meet them this
week! She knows this church is true! And is probably the most prepared
person I have ever met!
Thursday, we Had a Koukan, and I went to Yokkaichi with Durrant
shimai, At one point we were going to visit a member, but she wasn't
home, so we decided to go housing, and the first door we tried the
Lady opens and said that she loves learning English and other
Religions even though she is Buddhist! We introduced the 30/30 program
to her and she got really excited, and said that they could come back!
and that she would teach them some Japanese! It was really cool! After
Durrant Shimai got so excited and just wanted to house more!
Saturday we went to Okazaki and had a performance! There was less than
30 people there, but it was really good! You could definitely feel the
spirit! And everyone seemed to like it! But as we were singing Savior
Redeemer of My Soul, I was looking out at the crowed and there was one
lady in a wheel chair and looked like she was mentally handicapped,
But I felt the so much love for her! And I know that God loves her so
very much! I love being in this Missions Music group and Sharing Gods
love through music! I know that God loved everyone in that room!
Being on my mission for a year, I have really felt Gods love! It has
impacted my life so much knowing that he loves Me and he loves the
girl across the street, the guy at the bus stop! He loves all of us so
much! No matter Who we are, no matter what we are going through, He is
always there for us! I have needed The Lords help so much! I know I
couldn't have made it this far on my mission without our Savior! I am
so thankful for this opportunity to be a missionary! And I will never
stop being a missionary!
I love you all so much! Sorry for the long email! .... #sorrynotsorry
