Happy Easter!
Run down of the week!
Tuesday we went on a Koukan! I went to gokiso with Petersen Shimai! We had a awesome opportunity to go to a service night for homeless people! We had the job of filling up there old bottles with coffee or hot chocolate! It was a real eye opener to see these people literally have nothing, come and get a little bit of food, or used clothing. And realizing how much I have been given in my life. It was a neat experience!
Wednesday, we had a couple lessons with members, one of them fed us dinner! She fed us curry! Then she brought out these fried chicken looking things, we bit into it and it was crunchy! We asked her what it was and she said it was baby bird bones!!!!! It was NASTY!!! I couldn't really chew it, so I swallowed some of them whole! It was a interesting experience! Then dashed off to teach kids eikaiwa!
Friday, we had ZTM (zone training meeting) (which was all in Japanese!) it was really good though! Then after, we went on another Koukan and I was in yokkaichi with Bascom Shimai! We had a lesson with one of their potential investor, but they speak Spanish, and really little Japanese! And the tachiai(person present?) we had didn't want to translate for us, so we decided to shared the because of him video in Spanish and give them a Book of Mormon in Spanish and used some Spanish in some of our Japanese sentences! But I mean, she seemed really excited about the Book of Mormon! The spirit works in mysterious ways!
Saturday, we switched back, and had a awesome lesson with Geraldine and Lyle! We talked about the role of the Holy Ghost! Geraldine has such a amazing testimony and knows these things and knows they are true! She is progressing really well!
Sunday, We were sitting in sacrament meeting, and Carey Shimai was translating for Victoria Shimai, when we both heard the speaker say "because today is Easter...." We were like "what? " then we were really confused and Victoria was laughing at us because we thought it was next week! We asked the elders and they also thought it was next week! I'm glad people tell the missionaries things..... Happy Easter everyone!
Later that day we went over to the Yamada's and had Okonomiyaki, takoyaki, and other things, it was so good!! It was so much fun!
Well, sense it is Easter,
Mosiah 16:
7 And if Christ had not risen from the dead, or have broken the bands of death that the grave should have no victory, and that death should have no sting, there could have been no resurrection.
8 But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ.
He is risen, and because he is risen, we can be too!
I hope you all had a lovely Easter! Love you all!
