Wow! Can I just start off by saying that God really does prepare his
Children to hear the Gospel!
This week we had a Kokan (exchange) with the Fukuroi Shimai, so
Yamaguchi Shimai came to Fuji with me! We visited two members, then
went to teach Eikaiwa (english Conversation) But when it came to 7, no
one showed up, so the Elders and us sat there waiting for 45 mins
hoping that someone would show up! But we remembered that we think we
didn't even have it that day! We decided to do a 4人伝道! Yon nin Dendo,
(4 people proselytizing.) Which included us stopping people and having
them guess where three of us were from, to taking pictures with random
people and giving them a pamphlet after! It was so much fun!
On Friday we had ZTM (zone training Conference) which was Awesome!
When we got back to Fuji we planned on seeing a PI that lives close to
Ito Shimai (Who lives in fujinomia) So we got there and the PI's
daughter answered the door and welcomed us right in!! She spoke to us
in her English that she knew! Her husband is from Taiwan, so she
speaks Japanese, some Chinese, and some English! She asked us A LOT of
questions, some which was about America and about Argentina (my
companion is from Argentina) culture, then also asked us what we were
doing in Japan! So gladly we told her all about Missionaries and how
they are everywhere!! She thought that was so cool!! We also told her
that we answer peoples life questions! She explained to us that she is
Buddhist, and has been searching for answers like that, but doesn't
want to go into to deep because it is scary! She asked us if we read
the bible, and explained how she wanted to read it sometime, but it is
too hard to understand!! She looked at us and was told us, "I think
it's cool that you are only 19, 20 and already know the purpose of
life, I am still trying to know what it is." Wow!! does God prepare
certain people to hear the Gospel!! She said she loves talking to us
and that we could come back!! She is way awesome!!
After, we went to Ito Shimai's to tell her our awesome experience with
her neighbor! She was so excited!! Then Ito Kyoudai came out and was
also super excited! (See, Everyone can be missionaries! They are such
great examples, and sometimes that's all it takes!) Then we just
talked with them and Ito Kyoudai showed us some of his Coin
Collection, and gave each of us a really old Japanese coin!
We love the Ito's so much!!
Thought of the week!
I was reading today a Conference talk by President Russel M. Nelson
from the April 2011 conference! In it, I really liked the part where
he says "We live to die, and die to live again!" and as I was thinking
about that PI, some people believe that we just live to die! but I
love when he continues it to, we Die to Live Again!! Then later he is
talking about an experience that Joseph Smith had in Liberty Jail, he
prays to God and this is the Lords response, "Know thou, my son, that
all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy
good.” We might go through something that might seem frustrating, but
you can ALWAYS learn from it!! For example, I wrote this email, but it
was different, I was almost done with it when all of a sudden the
whole email just Erased, and I couldn't get it back! I was upset, but
maybe I needed to reword somethings or maybe I wasn't supposed to
share something! I might never know the reason, but there probably
is!! I know that God did that for a reason!! And I will defently will
look at hard times as learning experiences!
Wise words from my friend Rafiki "The past can hurt, but the way I see
it, you can either run from it or learn from it!"
I love you all so Much!!! Thank you for your love and support!! Have a
awesome Week!!
