Wow! I know I say this every transfer, but, I can't believe another
transfer gone!! Where is the time going! I feel like I just got to
Japan!! Crazy!!
Anyways, sorry for no email last week, I ran out of time, and nothing
really exciting happened, so I thought to spare you all time on
reading nothing! But this week was more interesting!
On Tuesday, it started out by us wanting to go visit a member to wish
her a happy birthday! But knowing us, we got lost! So we got to where
she kind of lived, parked our bikes and went around looking for her
kanji on the houses, then we decided to pray, and while we were
praying, I heard a big crash probably from the bikes, but Knowing it
was from the wind I kept praying. After, we were done praying, I
looked over and sure enough my bike fell over! But being me, I parked
my bike next to a road side canal thing? (sorry don't know really what
it is called!) But anyways, My helmet fell in there and decided to
float down it! So I followed where it should have come out but it
never came out the other side of the covered area! I got down and
looked in the tunnel, and it was stuck in the center of it! My first
instinct was to crawl through the freezing cold tunnel to go and
retrieve my helmet, and as I took off my shoes and coat, a car pulled
over and the guy was wondering what we were doing, we told him what
happened, and he decided to try to help us!! We tried everything, the
nice man got his rain boots on, and jumped into the water, had a lid,
and tried to move the flowing water in hopes that that would move my
helmet, but it didn't work! But while he was doing that, and while we
were on the ground looking into the tunnel we prayed that we could get
my helmet back. After a couple minutes he went to his house (well we
think it was his house?) got two large poles, and a umbrella and taped
them together and was lying on the road, trying to push it away from
the thing it was trapped on! But the tape kept falling off and it kept
having to try to retape it! I decided to say a little prayer by myself
that we would get my helmet back, and as soon as I did, the guy almost
got it, re taped it one last time, then got it! and it floated right
to us!! It was a Blessing!! I am so thankful for the kindness of that
man, who had his hands in freezing water for more than 5 mins, trying
to help two girls get a helmet back!! It was something so little, bet
meant so much!! I realized the light of Christ can be with ANYONE!!
And prayer is so important, no matter what you are asking for, God
will hear our prayers! And the inside of my helmet wasn't even wet
which is amazing!
I'm going to skip to Saturday, First, we had transfer calls!! I went
first to see what was going to happen, he told me my companion first,
who is Nihonjin!! Her name is Uchimura Shimai! Then, the area, and he
said that I was staying in Fuji!! Grecco Shimai and I were so
surprised!! Grecco shimai is going to Meito! Even though this is is
her last transfer, she got transferred!! We thought I was going to
leave Fuji, because I have been here for 3 transfers already, and
Grecco shimai only has one more transfer left! But I guess we will
just have to trust in what the Lord has in store for us!! I am really
excited!!
So Saturday we also had a lesson with Mastubara San, the one I talked
about in the last email,(she is neighbors with one of the members
here, she seems really interested, wants to read the bible sometime,
had thought about the purpose of life... that one!) Anyways, we met
with her and she asked us a lot more questions! We talked about having
Eternal Families and how we believe that even though a loved one might
have died, that we can still seem them again! She was so fascinated by
that concept! And said that would be really nice! We also talked about
God, and how we used to live with God before we came to earth! Also
talked about Temples and the blessings of being sealed forever with
your family! Then we talked a little about the Book of Mormon! We gave
her a questions of the soul paper, then gave her a Book of Mormon, and
both bore our testimonies about it!! It was so good!! She seemed
really excited about everything we were saying! We told her we needed
to go and catch a bus, and she got sad, and told us that she would
give us a ride to the Eki instead, so we stayed another 30 mins! haha!
She told us that we were welcome back anytime we wanted!!
She is so Kind!!
Sorry for the novel this week! But one last thought for you all!
Here is a scripture I found in 1 Peter 5:7
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Then a quote I heard, and it was God saying, "I didn't lead you this
far to fail!"
God really does really care about All his children! He loves all of us
no matter who we are, or what we do for a career, or what we look
like! He loves us, and if we really do cast all our care upon him, he
will really take care of us!! God is at the Helm! Everyone is going
through something, but God didn't lead you this far to Fail!! We just
need to trust him in his plan for us!! That is why I am here, to give
people that Hope! And I LOVE it!! The Gospel is easy, and Life is
hard!
I love all of you so much!! I hope that you will all see the hand of
the Lord in your week!
愛しています!
