Hello Minnasan!
How are all you doing?
This week has been a little bit slow, which is sad!
But starting off on Monday, we went housing and went to a really
creepy/ sketchy apartment complex, which sadly nothing came out from
going there! But after we went housing and found Saku, I spoke first
and completely forgot how to speak Japanese, mostly because he had
loud music playing in the background and I lost my focus, but then
Grecco shimai took over, we asked him if he believes in God and he say
said he does, but then said he was busy right then tattooing someone,
but would love to hear what we had to say! So that was cool!
On Thursday we (I) taught eikaiwa, and someone we met through housing
came!! He is a church volunteers for a Catholic Church, but still was
interested when we were talking with him.
At eikaiwa, at the end we did different expressions about time, like
"time is money" or "on the spot" things like that. They were all so
confused, but we think they like it?
On Friday, we visited the Uematsu's (less actives) and shared last
years Christmas video with them, and talked about the true meaning of
Christmas! Then afterwards the took us out for ramen! It was so cute,
when we got our ramen, Uematsu kyoudai had his arms folded then tapped
Uematsu shimai serval times and motioned that we were going to pray! I
thought it was cute! Haha! Then after we were walking back to there
house when they stopped into 711 they bought a few things and bought
us something to drink, then went back to there house and they shared
there snacks that they just bought! I think they really needed the
company! Haha!
On Saturday, we visited another less active, Mersy shimai, where I
pretty much sat there for 3 hours while Grecco shimai and her were
speaking in Spanish! She doesn't really know that much Japanese so,
there wasn't really any input I could do! But she is very sweet! She
kept putting food in front of me and saying "Hermana por favor!" I
think she felt bad that I didn't understand anything?
On Sunday we went to visit Kamio shimai at the hospital again, and the
cute obaachans just love us! Every time we see someone they get so
excited, and think it's great that we visit Kamio shima! As we were
leaving, we looked up and noticed that all of the people we normally
run into there also Kamio shimai, were waving at us and saying
goodbye! Oh how I love the Obaachans! They're so cute!
Today we had district activity, and we got indo curry and it was SOO
good! Then we went bowling! It was a lot of fun! That was pretty much
it!
I found this scripture this week in 1 John 2:8
"8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in
him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now
shineth."
Often we think of all the bad things that happen to us but I like when
it says the darkness is in the past! And we can always look for the
good NOW because the light shineth now! We don't need to look back to
fire find the happy moments that might have happened, when we can
always look forward to see the happiness that can happen!
I love you all! Thank you for being awesome!
