Hola, mi familia y amigos!
Wait! Wrong language!
This week was good!
On Thursday, we tried to visit a less active who lives in Fujinomia,we
took a 30 min train ride, waited for a bus for almost a hour, took a
bus, ( Funny story, we were sitting on the bus and I saw the girl who
was sitting next to us and I thought, wow she looks so familiar! So I
thought about it and realized it was someone we met who became an
investigator, but we hadn't met since, so I pulled up a photo and it
was her!!! It was so awkward, I didn't say anything...... And she
didn't say anything (which I think she also recognized me too?) then
we got off the bus without saying anything to each other.....) after
the bus we walked about 30mins, and got to her house, we knocked on
the door and someone (not her) answered the door! It was her sister!
She was so kind! She was so happy that we walked all the way to their
house, so she gave us a ride back to the eki and in the car she asked
us who missionaries were and what we did! She thought it was so cool!
We asked her if she would be interested in coming to the Christmas
party on the 12th, she said she would love to if she wasn't busy, and
also asked she would want to come to church! She seemed really excited
and told us that she would sometime! She also told us that we could
come back anytime to visit!
On Thursday, we went back to fujinomia, but this time to visit Ito
shimai! (A member) and we took a bus, which we thought was the wrong
bus, but turned out to be the right bus, then walked up the mountain
to her house! She was so surprised that we were there to visit her!
She just was beaming! It was so great! We love Ito shimai! Also her
husband owns a trumpet, and is letting me borrow it!
On Saturday we visited a less active who speaks Spanish! She is so
kind. She kept saying Hermana dozo! So like go a head! (to the food
she brought out for us) the. Her and Hermana Grecco talked and talked,
and I just nodded when I could point out a few words I knew in
Spanish! Haha also her husband isn't a member and says that he will
get baptized when he is 80! But the lesson went well (I think?)
Sunday, was the Primary program!! Haha oh my goodness, the kids in
this ward are so cute! It's the same here, there's always those kids
who want to touch the mic, and the kids who don't sing, or the kids
that sing really loud! And the leaders trying there best to make
everything happen just right! There are only 6 kids in all
primary!(who came) but it was still great!
Also Ito kyoudai brought the trumpet for me to use!
After church we went to visit Kamio shimai, and played cards with her,
her daughter and some other people from the hospital! It was fun! She
seems happy that we come visit her every week! Also everyone at the
hospital LOVES the missionaries! They all know we visit Kamio shimai!
They are all so great!
Later that night we met with a family from Brazil, and they set up a
next appointment for Friday to teach them! They really want their son
to learn about the bible and grow up in a good religion! We are so
excited to meet with all of them together, instead of only seeing the
husband, or only seeing the wife!
This week I found a really awesome scripture in Ephesians 3:17-19
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being
rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and
length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye
might be filled with all the fulness of God.
We don't need to know everything to know that God loves each one of
use, no matter what you do, he is there for each of us! We just need
to put faith in him, and he will take care of everything!
I love teaching these people even if I don't know the language that
well, because the spirit doesn't rely on the language, when the heart
is open!
I love you all! And hope you week is filled with Christmas cheer!
