Hello everyone!
This week has been great! I've gone 9 days without a bike accident, so
you can say I'm improving in life!;)
We had a kokan(exchange) on Tuesday. I was with Stone姉妹. Her last
area was Fuji so it was good that she knew the area! We had dinner
with one of our investigators! Then we met with a less active, she is
so talkative, she told us about her family then she wanted to know
more about our families, so we shared our pictures and she loved
seeing my family, she kept saying that Caitlin(one of my older sister)
is super pretty, she couldn't get over it. It was fun! We then had
sports night where we went to this one school and met with the elders
and 3 church members and played badminton, they were pros.... I failed
terrible! Yep....
On Thursday we went out to an "Italian" restaurants, with our
district, and patrick姉妹 is crazy and paid for the whole meal! Later
that night we taught English! Which is so much fun! At the end of
class we played a game, so we played Down by the banks, haha Japanese
people love that game! It's so fun! After eikaiwa, we met with another
one of our investigator, she is the best! And she is so close to
wanting to be baptized! She just needs to pray about it and get a
answer!!
On Friday we had Zone Conference! Ishii Kaicho and Ishii shimai came.
We talked a lot about faith and personal conversation. It was so good.
We need to be personally converted before we expect others to be
converted. It was so good! On our way back from zone conference, we
were at the Fuji eki, and this girl started talking to us and said she
goes to a Christian school, we told her who we were and invited to
come to church, she seemed really excited and said she would come! So
we got another investigator! That makes 10 investigators!! So that was
super exciting!
Also, most of our lessons this week with the members have been about
the "My Heart Pondereth Them Continually." Talk by Devin G. Durrant.
And we decided to "ponderize" a scripture and highlight it on our
IPads and make it our lock screen! So every time we go on our IPad we
read it!
We share with them how when we ponder a verse of scripture, it will
bring us closer to Christ! It's been so fun getting people excited
about ponderizing!
I also forgot a few weeks ago we started a faith project, where we
each got new Book of Mormons, and we mark In blue: Faith or Believe.
Green: each reference to Jesus Christ. Orange: His words. Purple: His
attributes. And pink: the doctrines and principles contained. And we
have a reading chart to follow a long to.
I LOVE it so much, I have already learned so much! I've read so many
things that I have NEVER read before! Patrick姉妹 and I talked about how
it happens so much, where we read the same chapters over and over, but
yet we read it and get something new out of it each time! It really is
according to our faith, and our determination what we get out of it!
I've learned a lot this week that we need to have shinko (faith) in
EVERYTHING!!! And lots and lots of Faith in God! The more i think
about it, the more I realize that I can't do anything without relying
on our savior, and that everything happens, because our faith in him!
We just can't have faith, we have to act on that faith, faith is a
principle of action and power! He will put more and more opportunities
for you to serve him the more we act on our faith. It's like building
trust with Him. God will trust you more with things like that, because
he knows you will act on those promptings that he gives you! That's
what missionary work is! Acting on spiritual promptings, to help bring
salvation to his lost children! I Love Missionary Work so much!
I love you all so much and I hope you are all doing well! I hope that
you will Ponderize a scripture! And if you are, I would love to here
your experience with it!
