On tuesday, we had the Homeless activity and on the way home, we
decided to see if there were any trumpet players playing in the park!
(apparently sometimes there are trumpet players just practicing in the
park) so we rode are bikes past and low and be hold, we heard a
trumpet player! I saw them and it looked like a guy, (in Our mission,
we arent allowed to oym guys,) but we decided to ride by, and it was a
girl!! So I stopped and waited until she was done playing, and I asked
her how long she has been playing, she said she has been playing for
10 years and that after work if she has time she comes to this park
and practices! I told her I play the trumpet and that I always carry
my mouth piece with me! She then told me that she wanted to hear me,
so she let me play her trumpet! She is really sweet! We gave her
Eikaiwa fliers and a mormon.org card, and asked if we were ever riding
past again if we could stop and talk with her!
Wednesday we got 31 Ice cream, because it was 31% off! After we went
to do service at the Mcdonald's house! We made beds and cleaned rooms,
and vacuumed the place! During our break, we were talking with some of
the other helpers and we told them why were here in Japan! I think it
is a really cool way to talk with people, is the service that we do!
Then we rushed off to meet a PI! She teaches free yoga and is really
sweet! We got to her studio thing, and talked a little bit more about
what we do with the 30/30 program! It was really cute, her dream is to
have world peace! She also wants to help people become better, and
that is why she teaches yoga! For our actual lesson we talked a little
bit about God, and how we can communicate with him through prayer! And
taught her how to pray! She said that she is really interested! And I
am excited for the next shimai to start teaching her! Right after, We
had to rush home and grab my stuff and I was off to meito! I had to
bike to the eki (train station) Put my bike in a bike bag, then me
having to carry 3 bags and a bike in a bike bag, through the subway
system, then getting off and putting my bike back together and riding
to the Meito church! I was crazy!
SO .... this is what Meito is like:
All hills!
We get to play baseball with the mission president every Saturday morning!
The ward is HUGE!!!! I almost feel at home!
There is a cricket stuck under the Church water fountain, and I talk to it!
We have no idea what we are doing!
Meito is Meito... but there is Sushi!
I now serve in the same area as my Junior high school math teacher...
We get to Help Sister Ishii if she wants help with anything!
Did I mention Meito is all Hill!
My Companion is perfect in every way! She is way awesome and is
continually wanting to help people! She is so sweet and great! The
rest of this transfer will be really awesome!
I know that even though We might not know what we are doing, we are
constantly relying on the Lord! I am so excited to be here in Meito
and to learn and grow as a missionary here! I was sad to leave Gokiso,
but I know that the Lord knows why I need to be in Meito! There is a
quote I really like that says, "'He therefore gives you experiences
that stimulates growth, understanding, and compassion which polish you
for everlasting benefit. To get you from where you are to where He
(God) wants you to be requires a lot of stretching, and that generally
entails discomfort and pain."
also there is this one "This life is an experience in profound
trust... -trust in Jesus Christ, trust in His teachings... To trust
means to obey willingly without knowing the end from beginning."
(proverbs 3:5-7)
I know without a doubt that the Lord has a plan for each of us! We
just need to trust in him and rely on the Spirit to guide us!
I love you all and hope you do wonderful!
