email list! And sorry I didn't add you earlier! I still love you all
This week was good,
It started off on Tuesday where we were going to go to visit Ito
shimai(sister), who lives in Fujinomia, so we took the train, then
realized that the bus wasn't coming until a while, so we talked to
this real sweet Obaachan(grandma) and a school girl! They were so
sweet! Then when a bus came, they told us that that was our bus we
needed to take, so we said goodbye to them and got on the bus! We were
driving when we noticed we weren't going the right way.... So we got
off and went to the other side of the street to take another bus back
to the eki(train station) to wait for the right bus to take us to
where we wanted to go!
We finally got on the right bus and hiked up some hills to her house!
But she wasn't home so we heart attacked her door instead!
While we we waiting for the bus to take us back we got a call from Ito
shimai saying that she saw our hearts and was so grateful for them!
Then we mad a actual appointment with her!
On Thursday I went on a kokan(exchange) with Sakamoto shimai! That
night we had a lesson with a family in her ward. We did a mogi(role
play) with them. We talked about having faith, and how to exercise
faith! Sakamoto shimai did most of the talking and I asked them
questions that Sakamoto shimai had me right down! Haha, when it was
my turn to say things I looked right at my notes and read the
questions, I felt so silly doing it, but the family was so kind and
didn't mind! After the mogi, we were talking and wanted to see my
family pictures! They were so excited! They turned to a picture of me
and Grant(my brother) and the two teenagers were like "wow ikemen!"
Which is "good looking man!" Haha it was so funny!
The next day, we had a few appointments with some less actives, then
our last appointment we surprised one of her investigators, who I met
last time I went to Shizuoka ! She got SOOO excited to see me!! She
was so happy! She really wants me to stay in Shizuoka! She was so sad
I was going back to Fuji that night!
On Saturday we went with a member to go visit the Obaachan band, that
we found a month ago!
They practice every 3 Saturday of the month! We went there and they
let us sing with them, and even let me play the ukulele with them!! We
played lots of Hawaiian songs! We invited them to a activity that we
are going to have, but sadly they are busy and can't come!
Later that night we went to a less actives house! Mercy Shimai, who is
from Peru! So Grecco shimai and her were talking in Spanish while I
was try to teach her son (who knows both Japanese and spanish and is
7?) how to solve a Rubik's cube! And I realized I dont know Japanese
good enough to teach a 7 year old how to solve a Rubik's cube! So I
was mostly making the yes and no noises, then he would make noises
back, and All the while Grecco shimai and Mercy shimai were in
conversation! Then all of a sudden Mercy shimai was in tears! Later,
Grecco shimai explained that she said she hadn't recognized the spirit
for so long, and Grecco shimai helped her recognize it again! She was
so happy! They were discussing it for so long that we went passed
9!!!! But it was all good! And mercy shimai started to read the Book
of Mormon with her husband, who is a FI! Wow!
Anyways, time is running short, but I know that if we really rely on
the Lord he will help us in all things! I am so grateful to be here at
this time to spread the Christmas cheer!
I love you all! And hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!!
