Things are going great in Fuji!
First, we have met so many Brazilians it's crazy! We now have 5 new
Portuguese speaking investigators! I can't speak with them, but Grecco
姉妹 can, even though she speaks Spanish, they are similar enough to
each other that they can speak and understand each other! Like I've
said, we have found a lot of Brazilians, mostly because we've done a
lot of housing! Which is fun! We talk to some really interesting
people! Their is this one kid who we met, who seems like he is really
interested, but his parents aren't ever available so we can't really
meet with him! He speaks Portuguese so we can't have the elders go
there! But the first time we met him we gave him a pamphlet, the
second time we gave him a Portuguese Book of Mormon! He seems
interested! So we are keeping our fingers crossed that we can also
speak with his parents!
We went on a kokan this week, I went to Fukuroi with Stone姉妹 and we
went to this one place where they can teach you free Japanese!
That night we taught eikaiwa, and it was all about animals! So of
course they used me for all the noices! It was so fun!
The next day we had to get on a train and go to Shizuoka for zone
training conference! It was great, we learned a lot about repentance!
I liked this quote that was said "The Lord isn't telling you to tell
others to repent, he is telling you to repent." We need to change the
things in our lives instead of telling others too!
After ZTM, most of our zone were going to go get food, but Grecco姉妹
didn't have any money, so we went and waited for the train, I was sad
that we couldn't get food there, but then I noticed this lady who put
a dollar in the machine to get some water, but when she pushed the
button, nothing happened and it ate her dollar, so without thinking I
went over there pulled out some of my money and got her her water, she
tried to pay me back but I refused and she seemed really greatful! On
the train Grecco姉妹 fell asleep, so I just watched out the window, and
as I was watching the people outside, and the beauty of Japan, I felt
so much peace, and a confirmation that God really does love each one
of his Children, and no matter who they are or what they have done, he
still loves us so much! WE ARE HIS CHILDREN! I was also looking around
at everyone on the train, and I noticed this one old lady, she just
sat there but she had this light about her, and then I thought,
everyone can have the light of Christ with them! And how much we might
seem different to other people who might not have that light! I might
have also look a little different because my eyes were pretty watery!
But, If we went to lunch, I might of not have helped that lady, I
might have not had that confirmation, and I might have not said hi to
some people who might have needed it that day! THE LORDS TIMING IS SO
PERFECT! We all have that light, and sometimes we just need to share
it with people! Because we are so different! And people do notice!
I love you all and I am so greatful for all of you!
