Well, this week wasn't too eventful! So I will do some of the
highlights from the week!
Also last Monday marked my 7month mark on being on a mission! Crazy!
Anyways, Tuesday we visited Matsumoto Shimai! She was the first lesson
I have ever had in Japan! So it was weird being there exactly 5months
after I came to Japan! It was all the feelings! I remembered being
there, not knowing who this lady was, mogiing the first lesson with
her, while feeling awkward trying to sit seiza (kneeling) and shifting
around so much, because my legs kept falling asleep! And being there
with two people I didn't really know very well, eating food with bugs
in it! Yeah... Good times! It was so great! I also remembered while
sitting there, that I was actually doing this, me being here in Japan,
being a missionary! Wow!
Anyways after that, we went with the elders to visit one of the PI's
they found! So we went and talked to her and such! When she was
younger, she went to an all girl Christian school, and pretty much the
only thing she remembers was singing hymns! She LOVES hymns! So we
were smart and told her that our church sings hymns, and invited her
and her son to come to church they told us they would next week! So
hopefully they will come!
Later we went with Ito Shimai to go visit less actives! Which was so much fun!
Wednesday we biked up a mountain! It was great! We visited a sweet
member who owns 10cats and 2 dogs! She is the sweetest! Then, we went
to visit another member, but ended not being home! That's pretty much
all that happened!
Skipping to Saturday, we had a Koukan(companion exchange!) Stone
Shimai came to Fuji with me! We decided to go heart people, because we
didn't really have time to do anything else! And sense Fuji is also
her bean area, we decided to surprise Hasegawa Shimai! She was SOO
excited to see Stone Shimai! Haha, I haven't seen her that happy sense
she's won Mexican train! (A game we play with her each time we meet
with her!) but it was a lot of fun! Then we decided to go visit
another member before we had to meet our companions in Shizuoka. We
got on the train and then walked to their house just up the street
from the eki. They talked with us and quickly told us that this young
family just moved in next to them! So we just got a referral! It was
way awesome! Then we went and met our companions in Shizuoka to switch
back!
Today, we had district activity, we were planning on going bowling
after we ate at this cute little cafe, but when we got there, all the
lanes were filled up and so we left!
Then when when we got back to Fuji. Uchimura Shimai, went to the
coolest antique shop! "Cozy" was the name! The owner was working and
he wore a cool hat, and round glasses. He then started talking to us,
because he noticed I spoke English, and he used his English! It was
way awesome, he goes about 5 times a year to America to find old
antiques to sell here in Japan! So of course we became friends, and I
had to buy something... So I found a really cheap vinyl record of Neal
diamond! Lol! We invited him to eikaiwa, sense he was speaking
Japanese, but realized our flier was for another area, so we told him
we would come back with one for Fuji! Then we went to the second shop
he owns and the other owner was there and he looked like the coolest
hippie ever! He wore this awesome hat, and had long hair, and beard
and wore a really 80s looking shirt! It was awesome! Oh and the
Beatles were playing in the back round of course!:)
And that is about it!
Here is a quick quote for y'all!

faith in Christ. And entrust yourself to Him in all things!" -koichi
