Wow! This week!
Well we had transfer calls and I am going really far! I'm going all
the way to Gokiso! So, when I say far, I mean it's really close to
Takabata, and it's even the same district.... It's a 30min train ride!
Haha! So that's cool! My new companion is going to be Bunker Shimai!
She is my Senpai (someone older than me) or in other words she is one
transfer a head of me!
So on Tuesday we went over to Yui Shimai and her moms house and had
dinner! We had a really nice time with them! We met Sanae's mom! She
is the cutest obaachan (grandma) you'll ever meet! We told her I could
make animal noices and I started doing the cricket notice and her face
was priceless! She was frozen and couldn't believe it! Haha! But
really! Anyways, We were starting the lesson with just yui, and then
she invited her mom and grandma over to listen to us explaining the
plan of salvation! We had the map of it, and simply went through it
with them! At one point, the grandma says she would be interested into
coming to church but didn't know if that was allowed! We told her
anyone can come to church! So she might come! We couldn't finish all
the plan of salvation because they went to set up dinner! But it was
very nice! We even made a video of us washing her dishes and singing!
On Thursday we had a really cool lesson with a lady named Tanaka San,
she came to Eikaiwa once and wanted to do the 30/30, she she owns a
karaoke bar, and it was funny because on the way to what we thought
was her house, we were discussing how if she invited us to her karaoke
bar we shouldn't because first of all Karaoke... Second of all Bar...
So we get there and we are waiting outside this little store, and she
comes out from the store and invites us in... It was her karaoke
bar... But luckily it was not open for customers! But there was
another guy there that also comes to eikaiwa! And is really good at
English! After the English part, we decided to talk about the god
head, and how they are three separate beings! Also talked about
prayer! And even though the guy isn't a member, he was way good at
being a tachiai(there is no good translation for this... It means
witness?) he would help explain what we just said and it it really
helped! Also at the end of the lesson he told us that he wants a Book
of Mormon, so he can read it and learn more! We told him we could give
him one next week, he said he would love to buy one! But we told him
that it was free! And he couldn't believe it! He was really excited!
Hopefully the elders can teach him soon!
Friday, we had a really good DTM about being Children if God, and
Children of Christ! I love being out here and sharing it to people! It
rekindle my fire for the want of others knowing that there is a God
and we are his children, and he loves each and everyone!
It was so good!
On Saturday we were planned to have a big eikaiwa party and have a big
BBQ, but it rained all day, but we had a lot of faith, and by the time
we wanted to be there the rain stopped for the rest of the night! It
was way good! The guy that wanted the Book of Mormon came, so we gave
him it, Miki came with her kids and made really good Curry! And a lot
more people!
Sunday we had a Baptism!! One of the Elders investigators got
baptized! And we had Aya and Geraldine come to the Baptism! It turned
out really nice! Aya had to leave right after, but then Miki and her
kids came to all of church and to the Shokujikai! ( in Japan, once a
month, they get together and have a big pot luck after church!) we
also had
Kobayashi San come to the Shokujikai and might come to church next
week! We also taught Jeffs wife after sacrament and answered her
questions on why they did things during the baptism! And a lot other
questions! We mainly focused on Jesus Christ and life! It was way
awesome!
Later that night we had a lesson with Aya, and explained the gospel of
Jesuse Christ with her and how they are like steps, and each step is
really important! She said that it made a lot of sense, and loves
learning about the gospel, and how she has been so blessed to get to
know about this church! She is so great!!
I have felt the Savior so love so much, I am really sad to leave
Takabata! I have grown to love the people here so much! But I know
that I am called to gokiso for a reason!
I love all of you so much!
