I wanted really quick to say thank you so much for all that you have done for me!! It really means the world to me!Anyways I love the MTC!!! It's been great! I'm sorry but I have not had any home sickness yet!!! My P-days will be on Thursdays, today we are going to go to the temple around 1 which I am super excited about!!!!!!
So my Doryou (companion) is Sorensen Shimai (sister) She is from Salt Lake and went to BYU to study Violin performance! It's been fun getting to know her and it almost feels like we've been friends for a while! Also you will never guess this, but the other day we were sitting with some shimaitachi (sisters) in our district and we were going around the table and saying how we wanted to go on a mission. When Sorensen Shimai was talking she said she didn't know if she wanted to give up being in a band she was in, we asked her what band and she said THE NATIONAL PARKS!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOSH!!! I DIED!!!!!!!!! She was the violinist in The National Parks! She was super surprised that I knew who they were!
Also in our district their are two other Shimaitachi, Cox shimai and Watson shimai! They are Crazy! They remind me of Maddie Perry and I together!! so.... yep! They are so motivated to learn Everything!! It's great!
Anyways Yes Tyler Allred Choro (elder) is in my district. There are 12 of us! 4 Shimaitachi(sisters) and 8 Chorotachi(Elders)I love them to death, They all act like my brothers and sisters! Yet they are SUPER CRAZY!!! I am actually struggling hard with the language! mostly because I have never learned gospel terms! But it is nice that I can help my Doryou(comp.) with words I do know!!
I have seen so many people I know here! Like Elder Thomas Judkins also Sister Rachel Ashcraft and more!! It's been fun to see familiar faces!! The food here is great! There are a lot of choices! Every morning my doryo and I get up and go to early morning classes (yoga, kickbox, ect.) It's been great to really start my day off working out! Also my Doryo is crazy! She was in track in high school and she runs A LOT!!! It is good that she is motivating my to be heathier! I haven't really eaten anything sugary besides the Cookies mom sent! THANKS MOM!! Also we have heard horror stories about people gaining over 10 pounds just here in the MTC!!!!!! AHHH!!! That can not happen!!!
My favorite thing so far is getting to know Sorensen Shimai!! I love when we do Comp. study, and sharing each others insights that we have learned! Our Third day here we had to teach a "Investigator in NIHONGO!!!(japanese) It's been hard because we don't know the language and it's hard for us to understand her needs and what to say. But I know it was only our third day! We have been teaching her everyday! but I think yesterday was the last day we got to teach her!:( but I think she is going to be our Teacher!! I love Shimbashi Sensei (my teacher) He has so much patience and he is really great!!! Also I LOVE getting to know so many new people!!!! It's so much fun!! I just love all the people we meet!OH and on tuesday some Nihonjin (japanese people) came!!! It's so great!! I love them!!!
The hardest thing is probably not knowing how to say thing in Nihongo! I have a hard time learning the new words, but with the Lords help I can do it!!
Also on Sunday we went to Choir and and sung a really pretty version of a Childs Prayer!! I felt the spirit so strong!! Some kodomotachi (children) sang the begining then we sang "pray he is there..."It was so powerful!! I have loved having so many devotionals!! It's such a strength in my life!!
Also the camera works fine I guess! But it works!
I LOVE my experiences I've had so far! I have loved getting to now my doryo so much she is such a great example to me! I know that I am called to Japan for a reason!! I am so glad that I made that choice to serve at a young age!! I really learned that Prayer is super SUPER important!! I have had so many prayers answered in just the 9 days I have been here!! I will try to send pics next time!! Sorry!! But I love you so much! And know you are in my prayers!!
