But here we are, Transfer 3!!!! Crazy!
I am staying in Fuji with Grecco姉妹, but Elder Anderson died today (not
really... He is going home.......) so today we said goodbye to him!
Which is sad! Anyways....
This week was good!
It started off with Christmas Zone conference on Tuesday, where we had
President Ishii and Sister Ishii come! I just love them! We talked
about how to have fun with Dendo(missionary work) he even said if you
play any instruments, we are allowed to borrow from someone! (Which I
already had permission to borrow the trumpet!) also that we could do
like "American cooking" class with people! Things like that! I also
had to say good bye to another dying missionary that I love so much!
It was sad!
Then on Thursday, we visited Kamio shimai in the hospital because it
was her Birthday! But she was in rehab, but they let us watch.... She
was a little embarrassed when we walked in and started singing happy
birthday! She was like, "shhhh!!!!" It was cute!
On Friday, we had transfer calls! But we didn't get a call, so we are
both staying in Fuji!
On Saturday we had the ward Christmas party! It turned out great! The
YSA did the Christmas carol! Then there was a clown? But it was fun!
Then we sang with two people from eikaiwa, Santa Claus is coming to
town! They sang, and we made up dance moves with it! Haha. After
Grecco shimai and I prepared a kami shibai(paper play) where she drew
different parts of the nativity, and I did different sounds before
each paper! And played the trumpet! I played "When Joseph Went to
Bethlehem" and at the very end played "Silent Night" it went really
well! Also we had a couple less actives to come to the Christmas
party! So that was good!!
On Sunday, we visited Kamio shimai with the elders! Then went to
Hasegawa shimai's house (also with the elders) and played a big game
of Mexican train! It was so much fun! Then for the lesson we did a
akashi kai (testimony meeting) and went around and each bore our
testimony! During it I was thinking the whole time about how while I
was in the MTC and how I thought baring my testimony in a different
language to someone who didn't speak Japanese was pointless, but
really it's not! The spirit doesn't rely on the language when the
heart is open! And even a simple testimony has so much power! Even
though I might not know how to fully express myself in Japanese, I can
still testify what I know to be true, and the spirit will take over!
I've been thinking a lot about being here during the Christmas season
and how excited I am to be here, "bringing good tidings of great joy!"
To the people of Japan!
I love you all and hope you too can spread the joy of why we celebrate
Christmas!
愛しています!!
