Called to Serve
Callie's letters and pictures of her mission to Japan!
Hey Fam!!! I love you all! I am Still loving it here!!All the Senpai (older missionaries...) left for Japan last Monday!!!! AHH! Also my friend Rachel Ashcraft left the MTC on monday as well! I was super sad! She is going to Trinidad! With the Two investigators we are teaching, they are actually our teachers! But we keep in mind that they are real people who our teachers taught when they were on their missions! So whenever we pray for Yamamoto San or Matsutoshi San, we are actually praying for them!! So that's really cool! This last week I feel a lot closer to my District! We feel like we are Family! We still have our ups and downs but, we are all still growing! The other day I was having kind of a hard day just because I was frustrated with the language! But I know through the Lord, I will overcome it! Cool experience that happened yesterday, I was praying for my personal study that I could find a scripture that could help someone that day. As I was studying I found multiple scriptures that I really liked! After a while some Elders sat across from Sorensen Shimai and I. I began to talk to them, They have been here for a week and they are going to Korea! One of the Elders said "I feel prompted to ask you what is your favorite scripture?" I told him one that I read in my personal study, Micah 7:7-8. He then asked for the scripture again and wrote it down. He told me that he really needed that! I know the Lord answered both of our prayers, what are the odds of reading in Micah? I have never read in that section before, and to have that popped out and have that Elder need that is really neat!! Always Pray for opportunities to help someone, the Lord will make you an instrument if you have Faith! Faith is a principle of Action and Power!! Also yesterday I did see my friend Jessica Ipson! but still no Megan! Hopefully I will! Last night we decided that we wanted to get closer to all the Shimai Tachi in our zone, so at 9:45 we got together in one of our bedrooms and had chips and salsa and Candy!! There are 14 of us!! We went around trying to guess everyones FIRST name!! It was fun!! I just Love all the Shimai Tachi!! We decided that we were going to get together like that every Wednesday night!! Yep!!Also I failed to mention The Sunday before we got to hear from President Nelson we got to hear from Shari Dew!!!!!! After Sorensen Shimai and I got to meet her, and give her a hug!!! AHHH She's so great!! Besides that I'm doing good! I LOVE getting Dear Elders!!! so,,.... Write me maybe??? Hahaha Joudon!(joke) No but really it makes my day! I love going to class everyday and learning so much!! Yesterday we had a substitute and he was GREAT!!! I feel so motivated to learn Japanese because of him!! I can feel the love our teachers have for us and how much they care!! I just love Sister Smith, Brother Shimbashi, and Brother Norawong!!! They are awesome!!I hope I answered most of your question? But anyways!! Aishiteimasu!!!!!
