This week was really great!
On Wednesday, there was a less active from a different Ward that wanted to come Dendo (missionary work, proselytize) with us! Her name is Megumi Shimai! So we tried to find some less actives we've never met before with her, but none of them were home, so we went housing! We gave her some Eikaiwa flyers and Mormon.org cards, and some pamphlets! She was so excited! She wanted to talk to EVERYONE! Once we were done housing, we were headed to go to get something to eat when she saw some one holding a dog, and she started talking with them, then just randomly started talking about who we were and gave them a eikaiwa flyer, a 30/30 flyer, a Mormon.org card and wanted to give them a pamphlet! Haha she really has so much Dendo fire in her! Also she is probably the most selfless person I have ever met! She is always looking for ways to serve people or anything! She bought us our dinner, then she was concerned about my companions legs because she has so many bug bites, so she wanted to go to a near by drug store to buy her medicine! Which was pretty expensive! Also while we were at a less actives apartment, there was a stray cat, so she wanted to go buy it food and water! So we went to a convenient store and bought cat food and water for it! She is way awesome!
On Thursday, we had dinner with our investigator Miki, and her kids, and the elders and a old missionary that came back to visit! It was so much fun! Her kids are crazy! But so cute!
On Friday we had a FHE with Lyle and Geraldine and the Satomi's (the Satomi's are members) and we shared a message about the Book of Mormon and how it is really great that we have it so we can read about Christ, we shared 3Nephi 11 and asked everyone to think about and visualize if they were there when Christ came to the Americas! It turned into a really great decision on how we would feel if we were there! It was really great!
On Saturday we had a young woman's activity and our 12 year old investigator came! And her mom came by the end of it! It was way awesome! We made pudding cake, and then played signs! We think she had a lot of fun!
Then we had to rush off to Meito for our concert! (If you forgot I am in a mission singing group that will tour around the mission!) We ran through it and got ready! It turned out really well! A lot of people came! It was kind of nerve racking, because I played the Ukulele in one of the songs!(somewhere over the rainbow) but it was really great, and you could definitely feel the spirit through the whole thing!! Also Miki and her whole family came! She had her little kids give Knowles Shimai and I flowers! It was cute!
Yesterday we had a lesson with Aya! She is the mom of one of our kid eikaiwa students! She told us she bought a book that helps explains the Bible, and she said really wants to study it and the Book of Mormon when she has time! Which is so awesome! Who does that? For our lesson We finished lesson one and she really said it made sense! We used the Rubik's cube to help explain the Apostasy. We had the Rubik's cube, and said that it was the perfect gospel, but then wicked people began to disbelieve and killed the prophets. Then we broke apart the Rubik's cube, and took away the core, which we said was the priesthood. Then asked her to put it back! She said she couldn't if she didn't have the core! Then we explained how because people didn't have the "core" they made their own churches, like some might read the bible, or some might believe in Christ, some may believe that God and Christ are one person! And we put some of the pieces in stacks and those were the different churches! And how they weren't complete! Then we explained about Joseph Smith and how he wanted to know which church was true! Then shared part of the Joseph smith video! Then after the whole thing about him, we pulled out a new fixed Rubik's cube! And told her that through Joseph Smith the gospel was restored! She said it made a lot of sense! She is really progressing! It's really cool to see how prepared she is for the gospel!
I love being out here and sharing this glad message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone! I love you all so much!
Happy first day of Summer on the 21st!
